Comedy Central / Warners - Two and a Half Men Spring 2010 Campaign Cont...

After much stress and panic due to media buying and project management errors (never understood why these happen so frequently), the first stage of the print campaign is now in the national press (the on-air went live last week I think...I've been too snowed under to actually watch the damn thing). So, paginations filled in The Metro, Guardian, Times, Mail, Mirror, Sun, Heat, Fabulous, Evening Standard and Manchester Evening News (which I will probably never see). The dailies will be running them once a week on the day of TX for the next 4 weeks, with Fabulous and Heat running them as one-offs. Watch out for minor creative tweaks as the campaigns roll on - Charlie Sheen should be changing from Devil to Angel in week 3. Feedback from client has been positive...the only major change is the bikini. Apparently it's not visual/sexy enough...so I'm off to photograph the girlfriends bra on a white background this evening and recolour it some lurid hue in time for this weeks press deadlines.

Comedy Central / Warners - Two and a Half Men Spring 2010 Campaign

New year, new season for Two and a Half Men and coordinating a press campaign with on-air tune in promos has been a tricky task. So many elements have derailed the creative on this one - the main one however is legal (as is usually the case with entertainment media) - Charlie Sheen being dragged to court over domestic violence charges. Campaign slogans were discussed for several days...long story short (and avoiding the legal process which was creatively crushing) I managed to sell 'Charlie's no angel' as our core message. Here's the on-air teasers created by the talented producer Lisa Frederickson containing the cross-creative...press campaign to follow.

As one nail by strength drives out another...

Blog consolidation time...I have had so many collections and blogs of work floating around the internet for the last few years, the time has come to do some housekeeping, wrestle with the jpegs and sort things out. The main reason for this is the forthcoming launch of the new F&W website, (a digital consultancy recently set up by myself and the talented web-overlord Mr Aaron Davies - @aaroscape) which will hopefully do a darn good job of showing off my client work and the like. Hopefully this will mean I can use this blog as an actual blog...rather than a lazy cheap portfolio site (at least I admit it). I'm aiming to get this blog to show work processes and visual catalysts rather than the polished final 'to client' assets that a portfolio demands, combining the print and digital projects currently over-filling my hard drive.
